About us

The Ho!DEON Cinema is a community funded project based at the Kingsley Hall in Westward Ho! Our aim is to provide quality film entertainment in comfortable and relaxed surroundings at an affordable price for the benefit of the local community.

Our team of 20+ volunteers are thrilled to bring the magic of the Movies to our beautiful North Devon Village and look forward to bringing Film Night to Westward Ho! We will be showing a mixture of the latest releases, classic film and work from local film-makers with an aim to provide a great evening out for our patrons.

Ho!DEON Volunteers

We are proud to have linked up with Cinema For All and Filmbankmedia to deliver family films of the kind that made Sunday afternoons such fun in the not-too-distant past. Sunday screenings are planned in the future as well as a matinee performance for under 16’s.

For the complete ‘cinema experience’ we will be serving our ice cream made locally in Devon and our own hand made popcorn.

All of the profits from the cinema are donated to the Westward Ho! Community Association (WHCA) to provide funds for the up-keep of the Kingsley Hall helping to keep this valued and well used village hall open. The Ho!DEON Cinema is a section of the WHCA which is a registered charity; number 301012.

There is a small car park directly behind Kingsley Hall. Whilst there are no officially marked blue badge spaces, we would like to keep this free for people in need. Additionally, there is a large public car park nearby. Please see the Find Us page for more details.
